Telomeres and Biological Age

Telomeres are DNA structures found at the ends of each chromosome, consisting of repeated TTAGGG sequences. They protect chromosomes from errors that may occur during cell division and also act as a shield against external and internal harmful factors. Telomeres shorten with each cell division, and their reduced length is directly associated with aging.
