Pediatric dermatologist

The pediatric dermatologist is a branch of dermatology that deals with the children's skin diseases, up to the age of 14 years. Children can be affected by both the skin diseases that affect adults and particularly dermatological problems that concern only those ages.

Atypical rashes, viral infections of the skin (warts, contagiosum), atopic dermatitis, acne, nevi, hemangiomas, and other children's skin diseases in small patients requiring special treatment.

In particular, for the congenital vascular lesions (hemangiomas, capillary malformations) there are special laser treatments that can be applied from the age of 6 months or earlier.
